Excess Heat Damage of Legume Vegetables
Return to Abiotic Disorders
Excess heat (high temperatures exceeding 92°F) can cause significant plant stress. The most common symptom is leaf scorch in the upper canopy. High temperatures can also lead to flower abortion (blossom drop) and reduce the viability of pollen.
